Take some time to relax…you deserve it!

It goes without saying that people don’t stop to smell the roses enough these days. Lives have become increasingly hectic and stress levels are at an all time high. But when we’re always going, going, going, we don’t have time to stop and really enjoy what we have in our lives. Relaxation and ‘me’ time is so important to your overall well-being and mental state that we all should really take a few moments each day to take a breather and just chill.
As I was getting my monthly facial at Facelogic last week (yes we do get monthly facials too), I was really thinking about the whole concept of relaxation. After having a busy couple of weeks prior to my facial appointment, I was not my usual high-energy self. As soon as I collapsed into the zero-gravity facial chair at Facelogic Spa, it’s like all my stresses melted away…then the facial massage began and I was in bliss! I walked out feeling totally rejuvenated, relaxed and de-stressed. Ahhhhh…..
Whether you find relaxation in facials, massages, yoga, walks on the beach (or in the park), or reading a magazine, it’s so important that you FIND that place/method of de-stressing that works for you! Life is already short, so instead of sprinting through each day, try to wander through at a mild jog pace.

My number one rule when life gets a little to hectic is to stop take deep a breath and relax. Relaxation is the key to a healthy life, which makes it more important than ever to participate in activities that will help you relax. For me living near the beach, and going to a local spa resort has given me easy access to ways I can shake the stresses that come with my chaotic life.
