If you’re like me, you’ve probably had almost every chemical peel on the planet, always looking for the latest and greatest blends to give my skin a youthful glow. Whether it be straight up high percentage glycolics or lactics or a new-age concocted chemical blends, peels are a great way to exfoliate the skin and slough off dead surface skin cells, leaving your skin looking glowing and refreshed.

It goes without saying that people don’t stop to smell the roses enough these days. Lives have become increasingly hectic and stress levels are at an all time high. But when we’re always going, going, going, we don’t have time to stop and really enjoy what we have in our lives. Relaxation and ‘me’ time is so important to your overall well-being and mental state that we all should really take a few moments each day to take a breather and just chill.

As I was getting my monthly facial at Facelogic last week (yes we do get monthly facials too), I was really thinking about the whole concept of relaxation. After having a busy couple of weeks prior to my facial appointment, I was not my usual high-energy self. As soon as I collapsed into the zero-gravity facial chair at Facelogic Spa, it’s like all my stresses melted away…then the facial massage began and I was in bliss! I walked out feeling totally rejuvenated, relaxed and de-stressed. Ahhhhh…..

As I was taking a visual inventory of my skincare products in my medicine cabinet yesterday, I started to think about what products I had and what I was missing in my arsenal (yes, i’m obsessed with products). As any skincare enthusiast might do, I decided to make a list of what I need now that the sun is starting to peak it’s face out from the clouds. As we all know, skin changes from season to season. Especially if you live in climates where there are drastic difference between summer and winter weather. Skin typically becomes more dry and flaky during the colder winter months, and the natural oils start to appear more so in the summer months.

Get Red Carpet Worthy Skin

Whether or not you watched last night’s 82nd Annual Academy Awards, unless you live under a rock, you have most likely seen a celebrity or two in your life via the internet or gossip magazines. We’re award show junkies at Facelogic and we love to check in and see how beautiful the stars look at every event! While we definitely get excited about who wore the best dress and who looked like a mess, we love to see who is ‘looking old’ and who has the most beautiful skin and makeup.

You can imagine our excitement last night when we saw the likes of Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Sarah Jessica Parker looking gorgeous, age appropriate and with beautiful, flawless skin! What’s the secret to looking beautiful as you age? Keeping your skin in shape! While you can opt for (and many stars do) less natural treatments involving injections, there are many less expensive/less invasive options that will certainly do the trick. - Add a little color - whether or not you are going to the grocery store or for an evening out, adding a touch of tinted moisturizer, foundation of powder will give you a more flawless complexion and make you look awake. Plus when you throw in a bit of mascara and blush, you’ll be looking ‘ready to go’ in no time and these 3 products will take under 3 minutes to apply!

There are plenty of skincare tips that the stars use to always look great, but routine skincare (starting with washing your face daily) is the best place to start. The more you focus on exfoliating, hydrating and protecting your skin, the longer you can fend off the signs of aging.
